Today I taught my first Art lesson to a lovely group of students who were very bright and attentive. I loved their enthusiasm. Each student listened and took on the tasks I gave them. Even experimenting with mixing different colours. My objective is to start with the basics of painting, understanding the colour wheel is very important knowing the primary colours and what colours do when they are mixed together. We also mixed colours on palette paper with a palette knife. The next step is how the paint is applied to the canvas, canvas has a very different texture to paper. Every student works at their own pace and has a different style, this is what makes art interesting. I would appreciate any feedback to help me enhance the lessons and make it an enjoyable environment as well as learning valuable skills.
